Reflex Security Is Recognized as a Pure Play Vendor at 10th Annual Gartner IT Security Summit

Reflex Security, a leading provider of intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that the company was highlighted for its Intrusion Prevention Systems technology by Richard Stiennon of Gartner at the recent Gartner IT Security Summit, which took place June 7-9, 2004 in Washington, D.C.

In his presentation, "The Future of Network Intrusion Prevention," Stiennon stressed that, "IPS is not an evolution from IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) but a replacement for IDS." Furthermore, he added, "Next-generation firewalls and intrusion prevention are finally available."

Reflex's Interceptor solutions were mentioned among leading technology solutions that take a software approach to maximizing security flexibility. During the conference, Reflex Security also demonstrated its new Anti-Virus module running concurrently with the company's other six modules. Reflex Security is the only leading IPS vendor to have such capability.
