Hardware Check
Each piece of equipment on the CNC2 network is continually polled in order
to monitor hardware connectivity. If a device fails to respond to two
consecutive poll attempts a trouble ticket is issued and the problem management
procedures enacted. Failure to respond to a poll indicates a problem in
one of three areas: network infrastructure, network hardware, operating
system.
Server Performance Monitoring
(for additional cost)
Polling of hardware and the operating system indicate whether abnormal
or dangerous system-level conditions exist. For Premium Co-Location and
Managed Dedicated Web Hosting customers, CNC2 will provide and install
monitoring software on each server to monitor disk space, CPU load and
memory utilization.
